RAD Propulsion Wins Clean Maritime Innovator Award at Maritime UK Solent Awards 2024
RAD Propulsion is proud to announce that it has been awarded the Clean Maritime Innovator Award at the Maritime UK Solent Awards 2024. This recognition highlights RAD Propulsion’s commitment to advancing clean energy solutions within the maritime sector through its innovative electric propulsion technology.
The award celebrates RAD Propulsion’s RAD 40 electric outboard, a cutting-edge system designed to meet the growing demand for sustainable and efficient propulsion solutions in the commercial marine industry. This system, which provides a 60hp equivalent electric drive, offers a cleaner, quieter alternative to traditional fuel-powered engines, delivering cost savings, reduced emissions, and enhanced operational efficiency.
Based in Southampton, RAD Propulsion continues to expand its presence in global markets, with customers in the US, Norway, Finland, Germany, Spain, UK, Italy and the Netherlands. The RAD 40 electric outboard is being adopted across a variety of l sectors, including commercial work boats and marine tourism , which are benefitting from the system’s superior performance and environmental advantages.
