Innovative maritime technologies
working together from day one
A new onboard architecture
Axon acts as a translator between systems. It listens, interprets and enables technologies to communicate seamlessly with one another. The result is faster integration, quicker deployment and greater flexibility throughout the vessel’s lifecycle.
Put simply, Axon helps innovative maritime technologies work together from day one, it’s not just an onboard control system, it’s a step change in onboard system architecture, designed from the ground up to offer boat builders the easiest route to a fully integrated digital vessel.

Vessel
control unit
AXON devices communicate with one another across a proprietary CANBUS, with third-party devices integrated via dedicated gateway devices and our Autonomy core.
Autonomy core
The interface between vessel engines and onboard systems, letting the RAD system communicate over an IP network. Connect via satellite, radio, Wi-Fi, or cellular, using RAD hardware or your own existing infrastructure.

Ethernet connectivity
RAD can supply complete autonomy hardware packages to complement the RAD Axon control system.

Autonomy gateway
Enables communication with third party autonomy systems. This allows operators to integrate advanced situational awareness and decision making tools from external partners, where required.

Battery gateway
Connects onboard battery storage to the rest of the system. It reads state of charge, health, and other key data directly from the battery, sharing that information across connected systems in real time.

Throttle
A fully digital, highly responsive control system. It features a neutral safety mechanism and illuminated tilt and trim buttons.
Steering interface
Connects the steering wheel to the system, reading input data and routing it to the right place across connected systems in real time.

RADTag
A safety lanyard that’s programmable at both the individual and fleet level, giving you control over every unit, wherever it’s deployed.
Vessel control unit
The control unit sits at the centre of your system, gathering data from across the vessel and directing it exactly where it needs to go.

NMEA 2000
RAD and 3rd party multifunction displays connectivity.
Easy Installation
Our systems come complete with cables for a pain free plug-and-play installation.

How can we help you?
Boat Builder
Build autonomy-ready vessels from day one. Axon is a single control backbone that coordinates propulsion, navigation, sensors and comms, no separate systems to specify and wire individually.
• One integration point instead of multiple disconnected systems
• Future-proofed for remote and uncrewed capability
• Packaged as Autonomy core for simpler, faster installation
Autonomy provider
Axon gives your software a clean, real-time interface to the vessel’s systems, so your autonomy stack integrates directly rather than working around a closed platform. It’s the coordination layer for propulsion, navigation, sensors and comms.
• A dependable backbone your autonomy stack can build on
• Real-time data and control across every vessel system
• One integration point that works consistently across vessel types
Operator
Axon delivers coordinated, intelligent control onboard. Providing a direct path to remote or uncrewed operation, built on infrastructure you already have.
• Real-time coordination of propulsion, navigation, sensors and comms
• No separate system needed as you move towards autonomy
• Proven control architecture, ready when you are
