Role overview

RAD Propulsion is seeking an experienced and driven technical sales manager – North America to lead commercial growth across the United States and Canada. This role will be responsible for developing and executing regional sales strategy, building key customer and partner relationships, and driving revenue across OEM, commercial, and dealer channels.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical sales capability with deep experience in marine, electric mobility, or industrial equipment markets, and thrives in a fast-growing, technology-led environment.

 

Key responsibilities

Sales strategy and growth

  • Develop and execute the North American sales strategy aligned with global commercial objectives
  • Own regional revenue targets, pipeline development, and forecasting
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities across OEMs, fleets, integrators, and dealers

Customer and partner management

  • Build and manage relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners
  • Lead contract negotiations and close high-value commercial agreements
  • Act as the primary regional point of contact for major accounts

Market development

  • Represent RAD Propulsion at industry events, trade shows, and customer demonstrations
  • Gather market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive insights to inform product and commercial strategy
  • Support dealer onboarding, training, and performance management

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering, product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure customer needs are met
  • Provide input into product roadmap and pricing strategy based on regional market requirements
  • Ensure smooth handover from sales to delivery and aftersales support

Reporting and CRM

  • Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline, and forecasting within CRM systems
  • Provide regular performance reports and strategic updates to senior leadership

 

Required qualifications and experience

  • 7+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably within marine, electric propulsion, cleantech, mobility, or industrial equipment sectors
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in North America
  • Experience selling technical or engineered products with long sales cycles
  • Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively across North America (up to 50%)

 

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with electric or hybrid propulsion systems
  • Background working with OEMs, system integrators, or marine dealers
  • Familiarity with North American marine regulations and standards
  • Experience in a scale-up or high-growth technology company
