Zero emissions network of workboats (ZENOW)
ZENOW will deploy the World's largest network of electric boats in a commercial setting
This network will study how the boats operate and the data collected will enable ZENOW to advise different operators on adopting electric technology in varied maritime environments.
About the project
A partnership of UK marine businesses and organisations that will see 20 RS Electric workboats, all powered by RAD drives, delivered along the UK coastline.
Our partners
Funded by Innovate UK this £5.4m project includes partners such as Aqua Superpower who are providing the fast charging network, the environmental agency and harbourmasters who will be the recipients of the workboats.
Evidence based
The first RAD 40 powered boats are in operation and data is being collected to begin the transition to zero emission operations.
